My journey
My professional journey has been shaped by meaningful human encounters and a lifelong interest in understanding people, their emotions, personal histories and inner lives.
My early professional experience included energy-based practices, particularly Reiki and magnetism. Over the years, working with individuals and listening to their personal stories deepened my interest in the connections between emotions, relationships and life experiences. This journey gradually led me towards psychoanalysis, which is now at the heart of my professional practice.
As the support process progressed, one thing became clear: beyond physical and emotional sensations, it was the psychological dimension that needed to be explored more deeply. Listening to others, the repetition of certain sufferings, and the search for meaning expressed by the people I supported naturally led me to delve deeper into this essential dimension of human existence.
It is in this continuity that I chose to train in psychoanalysis and psychopractice, in order to broaden my scope of support and to offer work more rooted in the understanding of conscious and unconscious processes.
Today, as a psychoanalyst in Caluire-et-Cuire, I offer an integrative approach grounded in listening, confidentiality and respect for each person's individual history and pace. My earlier experiences have enriched my understanding of human relationships, while my current practice focuses on psychoanalysis, emotional exploration and self-understanding.
Training and Professional Background
• Psychoanalytic training – currently in progress. Certification expected in May 2027, subject to successful completion.
• Reiki Master, teacher and practitioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition
• Complementary practices: yoga, meditation, Qi Gong and introductory martial arts training (karate)
These experiences have shaped my approach to personal support, grounded in presence, attentive listening and a holistic understanding of each individual.
Téléphane Énergie, Éditions et Multimédia (T.E.E.M)
Nicolas Mérand is also President of Téléphane Énergie, Éditions et Multimédia (T.E.E.M.), a French non-profit association dedicated to publishing, music, live performances, audiovisual productions and cultural initiatives.
Through its publishing activities, the association supports authors and creative projects. It also develops musical and artistic productions, encouraging collaboration between artists and professionals.
T.E.E.M. promotes access to culture, personal development and opportunities for creative expression, with particular attention to solidarity and inclusion.
These activities are independent of the individual psychoanalytic consultations offered by Psy Caluire.
